tix/SYS Web Ticketing Gateway and OnLine Programme Guide

The tix/SYS web-ticketing facility consists of two primary components that work together to create a very intuitive and robust e-commerce solution that lets you sell tickets online. The OnLine ProgrammeGuide component provides your festival or event website with a sophisticated database-driven programme guide while the Web Ticketing Gateway provides a real-time connection to your tix/SYS "back-end" system. Thus, when a customer buys a ticket online, their order is immediately updated to tix/SYS in precisely the same way as if they bought in person or over the phone. The tix/SYS CC-Server module provides credit-card processing for online sales so there is no need to create a separate merchant account for web sales and all your credit-card transactions can be batched to the same account. However, some events prefer to keep a separate merchant account for web sales and this can also be accomodated.
