Ticket Printers

tix/SYS can print tickets using either laser-printer or in-line thermal printers. All popular thermal ticket printers are supported including Bocca, Datamax, Eltron, Genicom and others. The tix/SYS laser ticket printing technology uses ticket stock that is far less expensive than conventional thermal stock and it produces very high-quality tickets. We can provide generic laser stock at an average cost of about 2.3 cents per ticket and can have specific information (sponsor logos and such) printed on the back of the tickets.

In-line thermal printing is convenient and fast but more costly. However, in situations where many customers purchase small quantities of tickets - an average of less than four tickets per order - it is the preferred method.

tix/SYS also supports receipt printing - both for general POS receipt printing and receipt-style ticket printing. Virtually all models of receipt printer are supported - please inquire.

Compatible Laser Printers

At this time only Lexmark (formerly IBM's printer division) laser printers are supported for laser ticket printing. A new ticket printing software engine is being devloped that will allow laser ticket printing on many laser printers including most HP models. At this time the following Lexmark printers are supported. Note that the printer must support IBM PPDS emulation (which is standard on most Lexmark printers).

Compatible Thermal Ticket Printers

If you own a specific model of thermal printer not listed here, please inquire about compatibility. Many other thermal printers exist and they usually use a common programming mode and so may be compatible with tix/SYS. In most cases we will develop a new printer driver for unsupported thermal printers at no charge.
